Cause of mortality was obtained from the Civil Registration Office.

The purpose of the study was to analyze functional capacity, health, living habits and living conditions among 75-year-old residents of three Nordic localities, namely Glostrup in Denmark, Göteborg in Sweden, and Jyväskylä in Finland.
